Nissan continues to enhance its best-selling crossover and reinforce the automaker’s commitment to bringing the latest technology to its most popular vehicles. The 2024 Nissan Rogue receives a bold exterior refresh and significant available technology upgrades to make every trip more convenient and better connected. Building on its strong core of family-friendly design, flexible storage space, and an efficient turbocharged powertrain, the 2024 Rogue becomes even more attractive.

The Exterior Design

The 2024 Nissan Rogue gets a facelift for the front and the rear. To that end, Nissan’s V-Motion grille receives a thoroughly modern makeover, with front and rear fascias getting a far more sophisticated look. Walk around back, and drivers will find satin-finished exterior badges, redesigned inner tail lights, and fresh 18-inch alloy wheel designs. The Rogue is available in S, SV, SL, and Platinum trim levels, with Platinum trims distinguished by gloss-black fenders and lower exterior and front fascia trim, as well as a new 19-inch wheel design.

The Cabin

Inside, interior finishes have been revised with more sophisticated materials. That said, its design remains a paragon of simplicity. Climate controls have unpretentious knobs, while the infotainment system has a volume knob and buttons for cycling up and down the radio dial. Most notably, the inside is updated for SL trims and higher, which all get a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen and Google Built-In. This allows the system to run Google applications such as Google Maps natively without connecting a phone.

The Rogue retains its accommodating interior, featuring 31.6 cubic feet of cargo space and increases to 74.1 cubic feet with the second-row seat folded down. According to sources, there is an additional feature that augments cabin space known as Divide-N-Hide: “Besides increasing cargo volume to 36.5 cubic feet, it consists of two movable floorboards — keep them in for a flat floor; remove them for additional depth, or arrange them into a stacked formation to divide the cargo area into separate parts.”

Moreover, due to the insulated front side glass, the cabin generally proves quiet, and the seats are comfortably supportive. The SV even offers optional heated front seats, which are standard on the SL and Platinum. On the Platinum, heated rear seats are also available. In fact, the Zero Gravity front seats provide excellent support on long drives, and there is ample legroom for rear passengers.

Under the Hood

The Nissan Rogue features a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission that accelerates up to 201 horsepower and generates 225 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. Granted, the Rogue is not the quickest SUV, but it delivers strong power once moving. Contrary to most of its contemporaries, the continuously variable transmission behaves more like a typical automatic transmission. For the most part, the ride is comfortable and smooth, a pleasant difference from many of its rivals. There is a lack of excessive body movement over pavement pockmarks, and cornering finds the Rogue SUV’s body lean.

In short, the Rogue has fast steering, a well-controlled but compliant ride, and a hint of road feel. Indeed, the majority of mainstream customers will be pleased with handling.
