On August 5, 2024, Nissan debuted the 2025 Frontier with a brawny new design, upgraded technology, and increased utility. The pickup truck now boasts a six-foot bed, a larger infotainment system, and an enhanced tow rating. These alterations are based on customer feedback to better accommodate drivers’ needs. An official press release from the automaker confirmed that the refreshed model will be available at dealerships later this summer (2024), with pricing announced closer to the release date.

Responding to an array of customer demands, the 2025 Frontier extends the Crew Cab long-wheelbase configuration availability from just the SV trim to the SV, PRO-X, PRO-4X, and SL trims. This configuration integrates a six-foot bed for hauling bulkier loads. The maximum tow rating also escalated to 7,150 pounds. For context, that figure is approximately 500 pounds more than the 2024 model.

Aesthetic Cues and Pragmatic Progress

The Frontier pickup’s new handsome styling features a modified front fascia, bumper design, grille, and a brand-new tailgate finisher exclusive to PRO-X and PRO-4X trim levels. Moreover, it adds a new 17-inch alloy wheel design and a redesigned dashboard trim. Not to mention, a new Afterburn Orange paint option intensifies the vibrancy of the available color palette. It is worth noting that these revisions heighten the vehicle’s work and play capabilities.

Indeed, headlined by customer input, Nissan executed multiple functional changes for convenience. For example, all trims now feature a standard telescopic-adjusting steering wheel, while the PRO-X, PRO-4X, and SL trims include a four-way power passenger seat as standard. The cabins of SV trims and above now come outfitted with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display unit for easier use of on-screen functions. This system supports wireless Android Auto connectivity alongside wireless Apple CarPlay, allowing smartphone mirroring without needing USB cords. A sunglasses cubby now appears overhead as standard, and the SL trim is updated with a wireless phone charger and an Intelligent Around View Monitor. 

Speaking of the Intelligent Around View 360-degree camera, it now works at speeds of up to 12 miles per hour for more security when off-roading.
