Nissan holds the incredible honor of selling the most affordable vehicle in the United States–the Versa sedan–until the Japanese automaker suspends its production. Soon enough, Nissan will discontinue it along with the Titan full-size pickup truck, as well as the Altima. In other words, it is unlikely that Nissan’s lineup will include these automobiles by the 2026 model year. The Nissan Maxima also bowed out not long ago, so it is evident that the brand needs to focus on the models that remain popular, such as the Rogue, Sentra, Murano, Kicks, Armada, or Pathfinder.

Fortunately, the automaker released an official statement claiming that it plans to assemble 30 new vehicles by 2027 on a global level, and among them, seven all-new models are coming to the United States. It is worth noting, however, that the manufacturer should not only focus on all-new generations like the upcoming Armada or the 2025 Kicks. The rumor mill and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators firmly believe that refreshes should also be on the agenda.

2025 Nissan Frontier Captured in Spy Photographs

According to the good folks over at the AutoYa information channel on YouTube–with a satellite venue titled AutoYa Interior–where all the computer generated Nissan action is, experts should kick off the process with the updated 2025 Nissan Frontier midsize pickup truck series. Indeed, the next model year was recently spied in the United States shrouded in front and rear camouflage attire, meaning the subtle revisions to the styling should touch both areas. To that end, the rumor mill is in a frenzy hoping that Nissan might also gift it with a revamped digital cockpit.

Even though the third-generation D41 Frontier is finally a separate model, distinct from the global variants of the Frontier, it is also noteworthy that demand has begun to dip for the model introduced during the summer of 2021 as a 2022 model year pickup truck. Sources indicate that the downturn in sales is primarily due to the Frontier pickup’s outdated characteristics. For comparison, all of the automobile’s major rivals have undergone refreshes or all-new redesigns. These include:

  • The Ford Ranger
  • The GMC Canyon
  • The Jeep Gladiator
  • The Chevrolet Colorado
  • The turbo or hybrid N400 Toyota Tacoma best-seller

As such, it is no wonder that even the parallel universes of vehicular computer generated imagery understand that Nissan’s Frontier is in dire need of an overhaul.

Imagining a New Nissan Frontier

According to the host of the YouTube channel and the resident pixel master’s digital work, the 2025 Nissan Frontier midsize pickup truck could arrive upgraded in Canadian and United States markets with a redesigned front bumper, subtly revised headlights, and relatively minor alterations to the rear.

Changes to the interior, however, would be more than welcome and easily visible. For example, enthusiasts refer to a larger 12-inch central infotainment screen, a different air conditioning command center, and a new steering wheel. Of note, they did not discuss or display a fully digital instrument cluster in the hypothetical preview of the midsize truck, but the conventional color reel is present inside and outside.
