2024 Nissan Rogue’s Performance

A refined 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder powertrain with ingenious variable compression ratios is housed under the hood of the 2024 Nissan Rogue. Is a 2024 Nissan Rogue Good on Gas Mileage?

The Rogue’s gas mileage is outstanding when considering the small three-cylinder engine’s speed. In turn, all-wheel drive and upper trims’ larger wheels consume a bit more fuel, but even the least fuel-efficient trim–the all-wheel-drive Platinum–receives a superb 28 miles per gallon city, 34 miles per gallon highway, and 31 miles per gallon combined. These are some of the most outstanding fuel efficiency numbers for any compact SUV on sale aside from electrified options available with hybrid power plants. 

While the 2024 Nissan Rogue boasts splendid fuel economy figures, its powertrain is evidently designed for efficient gas mileage and not performance. Still, the dip in acceleration is a relatively negligible gripe because the brand has done well in other areas of the driving experience. For example, the front-wheel drive is ideal for limited dirt-road and beach driving.
