2024 Nissan Leaf Revealed
Nissan is maintaining its course with its entry-level electric vehicle, refraining from any significant changes for the 2024 model year. The 2024 Nissan Leaf arrives with an absence of modifications, save for a minor price adjustment. As of June 23rd, 2023, Nissan announced that the base Leaf S sees a slight $100 price increase, while the top-tier Leaf SV Plus bears a $150 uptick compared to the corresponding 2023 Nissan Leaf costs. It’s worth noting that the 2023 version had experienced a price hike of $340 during the middle of the 2022 model year. The Leaf S, featuring the compact 40-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack and a 110-kilowatt (kW) electric motor, offers an EPA Combined range of 149 miles. It holds a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $28,140, coupled with an unchanged destination fee of $1,095.
2024 Nissan Leaf Highlights
Beyond Nissan’s standard safety suite, encompassing features like active lane control, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitors, the Leaf S model is outfitted with cloth upholstery, 16-inch alloy wheels, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen display that seamlessly integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Furthermore, each Leaf model boasts four USB ports, Bluetooth functionality, and a quartet of audio speakers. These attributes are anticipated to retain their standard inclusion for the upcoming 2024 version. For additional enhancements, prospective options encompass six audio speakers and a digital instrument cluster.
Top-tier Lineup
At the pinnacle of the Leaf lineup, the SV Plus stands as the premium trim level for 2024, presenting a price of $36,190 MSRP (in addition to the $1,095 destination charge). This variant is equipped with a 60-kilowatt-hour battery pack paired with a 160-kilowatt electric motor, offering an estimated range of 212 miles. Notably, the SV Plus incorporates notable enhancements such as navigation functionality, fog lamps, adaptive cruise control, hands-free driver assistance, a heated steering wheel, and heated mirrors.
Interior Cabin Changes & Updates
The interior layout of the current model year (2023) Leaf adheres to a traditional design approach. It’s anticipated that Nissan won’t be implementing any style updates for the electric car in the 2024 model year. The interior of the electric Leaf boasts a straightforward design, featuring a center console that seamlessly integrates with the dashboard. It is outfitted with numerous physical controls, catering to both the HVAC and infotainment systems. In fact, the Leaf’s interior configuration contributes to its spacious seating in both the front and rear rows.
